There are body pains you should never ignore as they can lead to long-term health problems.

When you feel pain, it is your body's manner of telling you that there might be issues that need to be addressed, otherwise these can develop into more serious complications.

1. Headache

A headache that does not go away should be diagnosed by a medical professional. Headaches can indicate more serious health problems such as neck injuries, brain tumours or aneurysms – even though the headache might be mild or moderate. If the pain persists, a doctor should make an assessment.

2. Lower back pain

Frequently, the body pains to never ignore might turn out to be arthritis but it can also indicate other problems like abdominal or heart problems. Pain between the shoulder blades should also be further assessed especially when coupled with diabetes, high blood pressure and the presence of cardiovascular problems since it can spell cardiovascular disease.

3. Chest pain

If you feel constant chest pain you should seek diagnosis immediately. Many times it can be associated with heart attack or respiratory problems. Other associated symptoms may include shortness of breath, wheezing and fatigability. Both men and women may have heart problems if they have lingering chest pain.

4. Abdominal pain

Abdominal pain may be due to appendicitis or pancreas or gallbladder problems. Other potential issues include blockage in the intestines, stomach ulcers and gastrointestinal distress. A doctor might perform a colonoscopy to further determine if there are problems in your gastrointestinal tract.

5. Calf pain

Pain in the calves should not be ignored. Many people do not realize that they might have more serious underlying problems such as deep vein thrombosis, which is a blood clot in the deep veins of the legs. If a piece of the clot breaks loose and goes into the bloodstream, pulmonary embolism or heart attacks can occur. People who are sedentary, obese and of advanced age should be more cautious about calf pain.

These body pains to never ignore must be treated immediately through therapeutic approaches and medication.
